Postponement of the 2021 Licensure Examinations for Radiologic Technologists and X-Ray Technologists

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) issued a statement over the weekend expressing the immediate postponement of the Radiologic Technologists and X-Ray Technologists Examinations for April 2021.

The announcement followed after the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), which was intentionally scheduled for only a week has been extended by the Malacanang Palace for another week – and potentially for the rest of the month.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has postponed various licensure examinations for 2021 – while some have been rescheduled, such as that for Radiologic Technologists and X-Ray Technologists, other licensure examinations have been postponed indefinitely due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country, especially in the National Capital Region and its neighboring provinces.

The PRC has repeated such drastic actions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all examinees and examiners – in hopes that it will help contain and limit the spread of the virus and that the number of cases will plummet.

Here is the Professional Regulation Commission’s official statement below:

Because of the continuing health threats and limitations imposed by the expanded population quarantines, including a rise in new COVID-19 variant cases, and in order to protect the wellbeing and welfare of all examinees and examination staff, the Professional Regulation Commission advises the public that, based on the recommendations of various and relevant stakeholders, the April 11 & 12, 2021 Licensure Examination for Radiologic Technologists will be held on May 16 & 17, 2021 respectively.
