PRC Steps in Filing Application for Registration Without Examination

There are professionals in the Philippines who are no longer required to take the licensure examination conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and can directly proceed with the application for registration without examination.

Steps in filing an application for registration without examination

  1. Fill out the PRC Application Form Without Board Examination along with the other documents to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for the mandatory pre-evaluation together. This office is located at the 3rd Flr., Main Bldg. of the PRC Central Office and Regional Offices processing counters.

  2. Proceed to the Cashier to settle all fees – located on the Ground Flr. of the Main Bldg.

  3. Proceed to purchase the required metered documentary stamps and notarization from the Customer Service Center – located on the ground floor of the Annex Bldg.

  4. Submit a completed application form to the Asst. Secretary’s Office.

  5. Check the status of the submission after three (3) months, at Tel. No. (02) 735-1533.

Document requirements for registration by the Board based on profession

Chemical Technician

  1. Birth Certificate from the PSA (Original and photocopy)

  2. Marriage Certificate from the PSA for married female applicants (Original and photocopy)

Detailman

Fisheries Technologist

  1. Birth Certificate from the PSA (Original and photocopy) on Security Paper.

  2. Marriage Certificate from the PSA for married female applicants (Original and photocopy)

  3. Transcript of Records of Special Order (B), original and photocopy, for graduates from private schools. If a doctorate degree is earned outside of the Philippines, a credential specifying that the college/university has been accredited or approved to function is required. (B.S., M.S., Ph.D.) & Diploma

  4. Certified copy of Civil Service Commission rating report demonstrating that the candidate completed a civil service examination in Fisheries or the Career Service Professional examination.

  5. If you work for the government, bring an initial and authenticated copy of your service record that has been notarized. If working in the private sector, a certificate under oath given by an accredited official/officer of a firm, organization, organization, or corporation engaged in the agriculture industry demonstrating that the claimant has worked for at least five (5) years in a position requiring a baccalaureate degree in Agriculture or Career Service Professional eligibility; or (with the detailed job description).

  6. Certification under oath by an accredited official/officer of a private school, college/university demonstrating that the applicant has served as a faculty member/instructor for at least 5 years and has taught Agriculture subjects.

  7. Original and updated NBI Clearance (Private Employee).

  8. Original and updated Ombudsman Clearance and NBI Clearance (government employees).

  9. 3 Moral Character Certification (from a barangay, church, education, or employer/dean).

Professional Electronics Engineer

  1. Valid PRC ID as an Electronics Engineer or Electronics Engineer Certificate.

  2. Valid IECEP ID or IECEP Certificate of Membership in Good Standing

  3. Active self-practice certified experience in government service or in the private sector, as prescribed in the format by the Board, indicating the inclusive dates, companies worked for, specific responsibilities and its description, relevant accomplishments, and name, the position of immediate supervisor for a period of at least seven (7) years (inclusive and/or aggregate). Or, the candidate, from the date the applicant has taken oath as an Electronics and Communications Engineer or Electronics Engineer, is at least two (2) years liable for serious engineering work.

  4. Three (3) certificates signed by three (3) PECE confirms that the applicant’s expertise record is factual (not required by registered and approved ECEs for at least seven (7) years according to R.A. 5734).

  5. Original NBI Clearance (Private Sector)

  6. Original Ombudsman Clearance (for those in gov’t service)

Professional Electrical Engineer

  1. Transcript of Records (Original and photocopy)

  5. A valid certificate of registration and Professional ID as REE

Medical Laboratory Technician

  1. Flunkers from the PRC licensure examination with ratings of 70% or above

Professional Electrical Engineer

Submit a draft title and description to the EE Board for acceptance in terms of subject matter, organization, technical material, and presentation. If the application is denied, the Board will notify the claimant to explain why. Please apply the following criteria if approved:

  1. Proof of Philippine citizenship; for example, a Certificate of Naturalization, a voter’s affidavit/ID card, or a Philippine passport/visa.

  2. Marriage Certificate from the PSA for married female applicants (Original and photocopy)

  3. Birth Certificate from the PSA (Original and photocopy)

  4. NBI clearance

  5. A current registration certificate, as well as a professional license (card) as a Registered Electrical Engineer, are required (REE).

  6. Certificate of Experience-PRC form 104 (as updated in August 1995) properly completed and approved under oath. The applicant’s service record would be calculated from the day he or she took the oath as an REE (Asst. EE or Asso. EE).

  7. Technical Report/Thesis/Dissertation Paper

  • Conclusions/Recommendations

  • Bibliography/References

  • Affidavit of Sole Authorship

  • Curriculum Vitae (with ID picture)

  • Transcript of Record

  1. An affidavit signed by three certified PEE. In conjunction with the affidavit executed in favor of the claimant, the Board will call the vouching PEE for an interview.

  2. A brief overview of the applicant’s most notable and excellent achievement/contribution in the field of electrical engineering.

  3. After the Board has approved the draft title and description, apply all specifications for processing along with the five (5) copies of the Technical Report (TER). The Commission will keep four (4) and the claimant will keep one (1).

  4. Payment of P600.00 for the examination fee.

Any applicant who fails the oral examination/interview will have to wait at least one year from the date of notice of failure before attempting to reapply. Rule 14 shall be observed in the re-application.

Professional Mechanical Engineer

  1. Birth Certificate from the PSA (Original and photocopy) on Security Paper.

  2. Marriage Certificate from the PSA for married female applicants (Original and photocopy).

  3. Lists of designs undertaken with the supervision of a PME

  4. Two (2) titles of proposed engineering report each with a short write-up and table of contents

  8. Affidavit of Competency – 2 copies

  9. Affidavit of Applicant

  10. The Certifying Officer must be a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer. Please have an up-to-date license copy.

  11. Certificate of Experience (PRC Form 104) duly notarized signed by a registered PME.

  12. Detailed Description of Machinery and Equipment Handled (PRC Form 105.20.1-A)

  13. Application Fee/Oral Examination Fee – Php 900 upon filing

  14. Self-stamped mailing envelope

RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST & X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST
